Canon Love

Yesterday... I look out of my kitchen door. And just over my neighbour's roof I can see a blossom tree.

So I snapped it.
I loved the contrast between the grey, ominous sky and the new, innocent pink blossoms.

Then, I notice a little blossom flower peeking it's head above the rooftop and get some nice depth of field with the zoom:
 Look at the little fella!

Then I started looking at objects to take pictures of inside.

I found a key on a window sill. The background was horrible... so I backed it with some interesting paper:

Then I made some black and white self portraits :

Me looking at the interesting paper I backed the key with.

Showing off my tat:

And here's two of my dogs being super über cute :D

That's Sam... sleeping

And this is Bella and Sam.
I love the way Bella is reacting to my dad's hand :)

Voyager Dream

This dream felt so incredibly real!

So... from what I can work out me, Tom Paris and Harry Kim were on an away mission, or maybe shore leave. We were in a night club that represented Liquid -a real nightclub that i've been to regularly.
There were these big screens up around the dance floor, showing the videos of the song playing. The videos suddenly stopped playing and Example- Won't Go Quietly came on.
Kim looked  little worried because the videos had disappeared, then I heard Paris say " Don't worry, Harry always gets worried when I know all of the songs just by hearing them"

Kim started to laugh and then we all proceeded to dance like our lives depended on it.

It was all so real!!!!

This is what I get for watching 4 episodes of Voyager before bed :)

This one's for you Garrett Wang and Robert Duncan McNeill!!

FOOOD!

ok... so i haven't been on here for a while...

But I've still been making and baking!
Like I made a tea-cosy the other day and knitted some scent holders out of bamboo wool! ( sooo soft, lovely stuff!)

So! yes... I made a very successful vegan sausage casserole!

Consisted of me cooking carrots, peas, pre-cooked sausages and onion in a pan. I added gravy and tomato puree ( and a little garlic puree) salt and pepper then put it in a casserole dish and cooked for about 30 mins.

Then today I made some vegan COLESLAW!

This baby consists of onion, grated carrot, cabbage, splash of vinegar, little lemon juice, Mayola ( Vegan mayonnaise substitute) and salt and pepper. Then mix that baby up!
I don't know the quantities... I just did it all to eye/ taste :D

THEN... I just made a fantastic burger, if I do say so myself!

It's a tofu, mushroom, lettuce and coleslaw burger!!!
I put a little oil on the mushroom and tofu block... then grilled and max temp (for speed)
Then once done I added to burger bun , whacked on lettuce and ketchup. Then I devoured it while watching National Geographic (Y)

I FUCKING love food!

Vegan roast dinner...it CAN be done with IMMENSE results

We made an EPIC roast dinner!! (we always do)

So i got a can of
Mock Duck as my meat substitute. I am disgusted by substitutes that taste like meat- what's the point in it ?! I'm vegan- I don't want to eat meat! But I love this stuff. It doesn't taste like duck (as far as I can remember) it just reminds me of tofu really!!  Anyway- you should give it a try!

The tin has no cooking instructions on that i could find- so i just bunged it in the oven, in it's own gravy, with the roast potatoes until it was going kind of hard on the tops that were out of the gravy. Delicious :D

There are some yorkshire puddings made from the egg replacer I spoke about earlier too.

Steamed cabbage, green-beans, peas, carrots and broccoli- all complete with stuffing balls and gravy on the side :D

Vegan Pancakes

So... being 21, I decided to try my hand at some pancakes for breakfast as a treat.

I used a basic pancake batter recipe;
I replaced the milk with soy milk and the egg with egg replacer.
Just follow the instructions there.
I found that after following these instructions mine turned out too think so I just added more soy till I thought it was thin enough.

Butter a pan and add enough mixture to cover the bottom of the pan. Cook on a high heat till the bottom is cooked then flip over and cook the other side. Serve immediately and put what ever the hell you want on there!

( I put strawberries and Swedish Glacé ice-cream :D)

This is the egg replacer I used.
I got it from Global Fruits in Ipswich.

And on the left is the finished result!

Bon appétit!
